Holley Blue was found out in Sweet Home, Oregon and was originally called Calapooia Purple, before Tiffany and Co. renamed it for marketing reasons. The old dig site is now on private lands owned by a timber company and trespassing is a serious offense. Even if it was still open to the public, most of the deep purple agate was mined out long ago by avid rockhounders. Holley Blue is one of the most famed agates known today.
