About Me

Hi, I'm Nikki

I've always been interested in collecting rocks, but when I moved to Oregon, I truly understood how amazing it could be. I discovered that the river beds were filled with agates, and before I knew it, I was utterly obsessed.

I met a lapidary artist who shared my love for Oregon's jaspers. Soon, my interest became a passion. But in 2020, I lost my job and fell into depression. Working with rocks and wire wrapping helped me overcome it. My hobby turned into silversmithing, and I bought a cabbing machine to do more with the rocks I collected.

I turned my apartment's kitchen into a shop for my passion, but it soon became too small. I saved up and moved to the outskirts of Portland, Oregon, where I turned my garage into a lapidary shop. Running a business and being a mom is hard work. It's a 24/7 job involving everything from managing accounts, shipping, customer service, physical labor, and time-consuming work. I often stay up late at night to complete the work and balance my responsibilities as a mom and a business owner.

We collect materials for our collection by exploring locations ourselves. We purchase some items from old collections, miners, or rock shops. We are passionate about the natural beauty of the earth. Discovering new locations is exciting. Cutting and polishing stones brings everything together. Occasionally, I set a stone in silver. These pieces are available on my website.

Whether it has been the two years I have been in business or thirty years down the road, I will never stop feeling grateful for every order that comes in. Every person who decides to spend their hard-earned money on my business and support me in my endeavors fills my heart with joy like nothing else. I am thankful for the opportunity to run a small, woman-owned business like mine, and I hope to inspire others to pursue their passions and never give up on their dreams.
