Fryite Jasper Cabochon
Fryite Jasper is not only one of the most unique combinations consisting of minerals and metals, it is also the rarest jasper in North America, as well as one of the rarest in the world. Fryite was once found nearby Down River Jasper in the foothills of Washington, bordering the beautiful Snake River. The land these jaspers are collected on is closed to public access, but a few lucky people are invited to go dig each year and to be one of them, is quite surreal. Even so, you can spend an entire day searching and find nothing. I've even been told I may be the first lady to have dug Fryite and while I'm not sure if its true, the thought alone makes me smile. The cabs you'll find available here are cut from a mixture of self-collected pieces, as well as slabs from old collections. It seems as though this small town kept its local treasures close to home and because of that, and its rarity, finding this jasper for sale is extremely unlikely and quite expensive if you do. I'm excited to offer these for sale, as its not everyday you come across Fryite cabs, especially with that electric blue. ⚡️
