Rosebud or “La Junta” agate was found in La Junta, Colorado back in the day but is not one many know about. It seems the rockhounds that discovered it, didn’t tell many about it.. although somewhere out there is an old article published in a lapidary journal, with a story about the elusive rosebud agate. Hopefully someday I’ll find it and have more to share.
