Mescalero Jasper ~ Polished Display

Mescalero Jasper was found and dug by Jeff Hill near Falon, NV and is so unique and complex in every way. Detailed geometric designs and sharp color changes from one brecciated block to the next. Some of the cabs I've cut remind me of Picasso paintings and the patterns are so easy to get lost in. Unfortunately, a lot of this material contains hidden fractures and/or, similar to Owyhee, fractures along the plumes. Because of this, cutting larger cabs is hard to do and so exciting when you get a piece stable enough for it.
