Down River Jasper Cabochon
Down River Jasper is a less commonly known jasper, found alongside Fryite, the rarest of jaspers. These less known beauties are found in the foothills of Washington, bordering the beautiful Snake River. The land these jaspers are collected on is closed to public access, but a few lucky people are invited to go dig each year and to be one of them, is quite surreal. The cabs you'll find available here are cut from a mixture of self-collected pieces, as well as slabs from old collections in the area. It seems as though this small town kept its local treasures close to home and because of that, and its rarity, finding material for sale is extremely uncommon.
